Keely Williams is an owner & founding partner of Catahoula Hotel, Piscobar & Pamplemousse Guesthouse in New Orleans. She is an owner & founder of Gravitate Development & Keely Williams Architecture, which has developed & designed ten-million dollars in projects in Colorado since the pandemic.
She is the owner and founder, with her husband Jason, of The Well Hotel & Taproom in Trinidad, Colorado & The Roundhouse in Pueblo, Colorado. In 2023, Keely worked as the Director of Development Services for The City of Trinidad before runningher campaign for City Council later that year. Gravitate is currently working with Dana Crawford on many of Urban Neighborhood’s projects.
Keely has over two-decades of experience in real estate and business development. Trained & licensed as an architect. Her business practice seeks innovative, conscious, & efficient methods of developing historic properties. Keely holds masters degrees in both architecture and historic preservation from Tulane University. In 2005, Hurricane Katrina created a much-needed industry boom for building, planning and development in New Orleans. Keely has worked with governmental & non-profit preservation groups on dozens of historic rehabilitations projects to rebuild the city. Her capacities varied in the fields of consulting, lobbying, city planning, historic preservation, architecture & real estate development.
Keely worked as an architect & development analyst for several New Orleans developers converting historic, downtown high-rise properties into residential, retail, restaurants &other commercial mixed-use. She participated in hundreds-of-millions of dollars of real estate deals with the firm in all phases from predevelopment to operation.
She utilizes many incentives such as historic tax credits, new market tax credit, HUD financing, low-income housing credits, community block grants & lobbies for incentives at State and Federal levels. Her projects often win awards for development financing, historic preservation & design. They are featured in press publications & outlets such as Forbes, American Institute of Architects, CNN, The Telegraph, Vogue & the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
